Daze 30: Danze With Me!

Danze with me, my friends! Do not be dazed. In the midst of uncertainty and chaos around us now, a new word has joined the older three: DANCE! Dance with Him who called me forth from the grave. Dance with Him who holds my life in His. Dance with Him who loves me more than anything I can imagine. Dance my heart out, though my body wearies. Dance, heart, dance!

UPDATE: 7-1-20: This has become a song in my heart, in the key of D. Plus it now has a chorus, and final chorus. I'll post the new words and notes after each line.

Tether your heart to Me,                                        d f f g g a

            Your branch secured to the Vine.              A b b g g b a

Tether your heart to Me,                                        d f f g g a

            Your heart resting in Mine.                        A (a) f e e e d

Dance your heart with Mine.

Let go of your cares and woes.

Dance your heart with Mine.

I have conquered all your foes.

Gather your heart together,

            Present it all to Me.

Gather your heart together,

            Come alone on bended knee.

Winter your heart in Me,

            There’s no cause for alarm

Winter your heart in me,

You are sheltered from all harm.

Chorus:                                                                                  After last stanza and chorus:

Oh, stay with Me, abide with me    d c b b b  b a a a      I’ll stay with You, abide with You,

Let your heart be free,         a a b a f                                  In you my heart will swell.

Oh, you are Mine and I am yours   d c b b b b a a a        I’ll stay with You, abide with You,

For all eternity.                     a f f e e d                                My Lord, Immanuel

Reflections on each season:
Tether: Graciousness and trust in uncertainty: Heb. 11:1
1.     Make sure your branch is strongly connected to My Vine.
2.     Wind your heart rate around what My Living Words say.
3.     Tie your activities to Me and My eternal purposes.
4.     Secure your heart in what I AM has done and is doing.
5.     Rest in My eternal purposes.

Dance: Spontaneous, Joy in uncertainty
1.     Release all the weights, one by one.
2.     Get ready your dancing shoes in your heart.
3.     Fill your heart with songs of My heart.
4.     Dance with Me in the Spirit.
5.     Rejoice in the oneness of My heart.

Gather: Faithful surrender in uncertainty
2.     Bring them all to Me as offerings to consume on the altar.
3.     I AM is waiting to lift them from you and show you the Lamb.
4.     He is the only one worthy of all you offer, all you are.
5.     He is the lamb on the throne at the right hand of God.

Winter: Breathless hope and expectation filled in certainty
1.     Come out of the cold; Let go of the work of your hands.
2.     Rejoice the harvest is in; The work is now passed on to others.
3.     Put your feet up and rest awhile; Love as I have loved you.
4.     Sit and enjoy the warmth of a fire.
5.     Be still and know that I AM, who is still there with you, is still God.

Daze 28: How Long, Oh Lord, Will This Go On?

We are now in our third month of COVID-19 stay-at-home and it's getting old. My heart cries, How long, oh Lord? I really miss seeing people in person and not just Zoom. I miss the hugs of human contact. I'm just so grateful for being able to hug and be hugged by my husband and Jenny and Ellen and the boys.....but post injection total quarantine was hard. Joshua asked 4-5 days into it, "How long until I can hug you again, Grandma?"

Tomorrow we're going to take a drive with some dear friends whom we miss. But there are so many things and people to miss. And there are so many things for which to give thanks. That's my choice today, to choose joy. It's the pathway into His heart. And His heart responds in the words below, as me the beloved and Him the Lover.

How Many Times?

Beloved to Lover

How often must I wake my soul each day
To Him who waits with beating heart?
How often must I urge myself to life, with holy greed,
For Him, who offers outstretched arms?
How often must I leave my day and thoughts and go
With the Wind who moves within my heart?
How often must I just be still and trust for one more day
In Him who loves my heart, soul, mind and strength?
How often must I submit and trust for only good
From Him whose good is better and stronger than mine?
How often must I come with my heart as an incomplete book,
For Him my breath and pen to fill?

Lover to Beloved
Do not grow weary, do not grow faint.
By faith,
I AM whose fingers hold up every thread of the day.
I AM whose beauty is still creating more beauty for you to enjoy.
I AM whose power is still holding the whole universe together.
I AM whose good is the only true good still working all together.
I AM whose life and truth are with you through all of life, to the very end.
I AM whose leaves these winds of change can never rustle.
I AM is still the Great I AM ,
The Lover of your heart, soul, mind and strength.

The Lover of your body, soul, mind and strength.
