Daze 27: Tether-Gather-Winter

Three words keep coming to my heart: tether-gather-winter.

First, the poem, then my current understanding of each one in my life today.

Tether-Gather- Winter

Tether your heart to Me,

Your branch secured to the Vine.

Tether your heart to Me,
Your heart resting at peace with Mine.

Gather your heart all together,
Then present it what you have to Me.
Gather your heart all together,
            Come alone on bended knee.

Winter your heart in Me,
            There’s no cause for alarm
Winter your heart in me,
You are sheltered from all harm.

Tether: Graciousness of uncertainty: Heb. 11:1
1.    Make sure your branch is strongly connected to My Vine.
2.    Wind your heart rate around what My Living Words say.
3.    Tie your activities to My eternal purposes.
4.    Secure your heart in what I AM has done and is doing.

Gather: Spontaneous, Joyful uncertainty
1.    Gather all the people and pieces I’ve given you over the years.
2.    Bring them all to Me as offerings on the altar.
3.    I AM is waiting to lift them from you.
4.    Then I will show you the Lamb prepared to receive you, and them.

Winter: Breathless hope and expectation filled in certainty
1.    Come out of the cold; Let go of the work of your hands.
2.    Rejoice the harvest is in; The work is now passed on to others.
3.    Put your feet up and rest awhile; Love as I have loved you.
4.    Sit and enjoy the warmth of a fire.
5.    Be still and know that I AM, who is still there with you, is still God.
