Daze 29: A Single Heart

These days there are so many cautions and precautions to occupy my heart. But only one thing is needful. As I learn to rely on and draw in to Him and His grace, my heart is not divided, but at peace with contentment. I pray that for all my friends, with peace in the storm.....and joy.

The Word of Your Power

            Sustains all You’ve made.

I’m one of your creations,

            Please come to my aid.

I love your Word, oh Lord,

            It comes and clothes my night.

It’s only by your words of love,

            Your kindness and your might.

Come, Oh mighty Word of power,

            Break through the darkness grim.

Come and let Your Light stream forth

            And keep my heart from all sin.

Come, Oh holy Word of power,

            Come, clothe me here today.

Let my heart be one with You,

            In what I do and say.

 

Come, Oh glorious Word of power,

            Break into my every thought.

Let your thoughts outrun my own,

            By your love I have been bought.

Come, Oh loving word of Power,

            Wrap me up in your heart.

Plant in me your own true love,

            So your Word will ne'r depart.
